Jesus changes everything!

Luke 5:1-11 Jesus injected into your common life will turn it up-side-down!

¹ On one occasion, Jesus was preaching to the crowds on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. [1] There was a vast multitude of people pushing to get close to Jesus to hear the Word of God. ² He noticed two fishing boats nearby at the water’s edge with the fishermen nearby rinsing their nets. ³ Jesus climbed into the boat belonging to Simon Peter and asked him, “Let Me use your boat. Push it off a short distance away from the shore so I can speak to the crowds.” ⁴ Then Jesus sat down and began to teach the people from the boat. When He had finished, He said to Simon Peter, “Now let’s go out into the deep to cast your nets and you will have a great catch!” ⁵“But Master,” Peter replied, “we’ve just come back from fishing all night and didn’t catch a thing, but if You insist, we’ll go out again and let down our nets because of Your word!” ⁶ When they pulled up their nets, they were shocked to see such a huge catch of fish— so much that their nets were ready to burst! ⁷ So they waved to their business partners in the other boat for help. They ended up completely filling both boats with fish until their boats began to sink! [2] ⁸ When Simon Peter saw this miracle, [3] he knelt down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him, saying, “Go away from me, Master, for I am nothing but a sinful man!” ⁹ ˉ ¹ ᴼSimon Peter and the fishermen, including his fishing partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were totally awestruck over the miracle catch of fish. Then Jesus answered Peter saying, “Don’t yield to your fear, Simon Peter. From now on you will catch men for salvation!” [4] ¹ ¹ After pulling their boats to the shore, they just left everything behind and followed Jesus!

  • The catch was believed to be one ton (2000 LBS) and that was equal to 2 weeks’ worth of fishing!

  • Jesus is about ready to totally exceed out capacity to hold all that is coming to us! You will burst!

  • Those that are aligned with you will also benefit from what God is about to pour out in you!

  • You and yours are going to be awestruck at the holiness of Jesus and His extravagant love that is being poured out.

  • This is not “hype” This is prophetic!

I think most of us have already fallen at the feet of Jesus and exclaimed that we are nothing but a bunch of sinful people! Jesus knows where you have been but He also knows where He is about to take you! It is time to leave behind what we want and let Him lead us into all that He wants! We are called to Submit to God not resist Him! We talked about trusting Him…well now is that time to trust Him!

Just as I changed the course of My disciples lives from that which they had done to that which I had called them to, so I am doing with you. I am sending a great shift to My hungry and thirsty ones that will change the course of their own lives and a great number of men and women to whom I will send them. This shift starts with encounter. You will encounter Me in the days to come in a profound and startling way. Glorious! In fact will be your response. There will leave no doubt of My miraculous power and My willingness to use My power in the day in which you stand. Leaving the former to go with Me into the new day will be a delight! I have so many treasured things that I want to do through you for the broken, oppressed and forsaken. My commission from the Father is still alive and well and will be fulfilled through My bride. I know you have toiled. I know how exhausted you are, but I am giving you My word, “To arise and shine in this hour”. The time is now for you to hear and obey My voice! Trying to live in spiritual exhaustion will only lead to unfulfilled dreams. Live in the light of My strength, says the Lord. You must be salt and light! Salt that is so strong it only takes a small amount to season a life and make a considerable difference. Be light that burns so vehemently that it can be seen to the farthest point on the horizon! The light that will never be cloaked and never be extinguished is the light of My Son’s own glory that I see on your countenance now. Never give in and never give up, rather take the word and hold it forth for all to see, all to hear and all to taste. I am good, says the Lord of glory!
John 14:26 AMP The Holy Spirit lives in me

26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

John Bevere states in his latest book, The Holy Spirit: An Introduction

…if we see Him as infinite in majesty, glory, splendor, wisdom, knowledge, and holiness, and if we believe that He, as a Person, has an accord with the Father and Son to take possession of our lives and make good out of them, then we will fall on our faces in holy awe. Someone who sees God’s Spirit as an influence or supreme power will constantly say, “I want more of the Spirit.” On the contrary, someone who sees Him as a wonderful Person will say, “How can I give more of myself to Him?”

John 17:14-22 TPT

14 I have placed Your Word within them, [In the Aramaic the word means Living Expression or Manifestation] And that is why the unbelieving world hates them, For their allegiance is no longer to this world Because I am not of this world. 15 I am not asking that You remove them from the world, But I ask that You guard their hearts from evil, 474 16 For they no longer belong to this world Any more than I do. 17 “Your Word is truth! So make them holy by the truth. 18 I have commissioned them to represent Me, Just as You commissioned Me to represent You. 19 And now I dedicate Myself to them As a holy sacrifice, So that they will live as fully dedicated to God And be made holy by Your truth.” 475 Jesus Prays for You 20 “And I ask not only for these disciples, But also for all those who will one day Believe in Me through their message. 21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one 476 Even as You and I, Father, Are joined together as one; I pray for them to become one with Us 477 So that the world will recognize that You sent Me. 22 For the very glory You have given to Me I have given them…
Prophet James Goll states in his book, Deliverance from Darkness:

The epistles (the book of Romans through the short book of Jude) were letters written to various individuals and local churches. That explains why they do not contain extensive portrayals of deliverance. After all, in the early Church, the norm was to get rid of demons between the time of conversion and baptism. The best defense being a good offense, the question after baptism was no longer how to get them out but how to keep them out through holy living – prayer, obedience to God and good deeds. Thus, holy living is the primary topic of the epistles. Throughout the epistles, any discussion of spiritual warfare occurs in the larger context of practical exhortations and instructions about how to live a holy life in the power of the Holy Spirit. Warnings about the evil one fit into this context.

In guarding and warring against evil powers, our best defense is holy living, which keeps us from having “chinks in our armor” that the enemy can exploit. Why should the rebel Satan submit to me if I am in rebellion myself?
James 4:5- TPT Friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God

5 Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts Is a jealous Lover who desires to have us fully”? 6 But he continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, “God resists you when you are proud But continually pours out grace when you are humble.” 7 So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the Devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you. 8 Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. 9 Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. 10 Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you!
